| After being denied twice before in 1991 and 1996, Go Away outalsted Oiled Thighs, two-time runner-up 17 to 14 in the finals at the 1998 Mars Tournament. Led by Rich Hollingsworth of Chicago's Z, Go Away used an extremely efficient offense and stifiling defense to open an early lead which they would never relinquish. Although trialing by as many as five points late in the game 12-7, Oiled Thighs, comprised mainly of Pittsburgh and Michigan players, dug deep to pull to within 15-14. |
