From Matthew Bourland of Peoples Republic of Pappy:
In 1999 I was somehow mysteriously baggaged with Jeff Humes without reciprocation. Our team had some of the most entertaining spirit issues involving trash cans getting kicked down the field and players on our team and the opposition being asked to sit for the remaider of a game. Needless to say, Erin Peck's calm handling of such situations gave her notice and she was awarded the SOTG award.
Due to StormTracker 2000 and us not agreeing on a date to reschedule a game, both teams were awarded a loss, thus affecting finals seeding and allowing Oy Vey! to gain the number one seed. We did face Stormtracker in the playoffs in the shortest round of ultimate I've ever played. The Pre-Quarters ran long because people started late and the Quarters were about an hour long. Stormtracker held on to beat us 7-5, and it is one time I regret taking an injury sub.
Stormtracker went on to lose to the #14 seed, Sticky Fingers, and Oy Vey! cruised in the finals.
