How are standings ordered?

Standings are ordered by adjusted point differential.

First, the average win margin is determined for each team. A point value is given for a team's performance relative to the average win margin for its opponent. These point values are tallied for the "adjusted point differential". For example, if team X plays team Y, and team Y wins its games by 4 points (on average), then team X will be credited with 5 points for a 1 point victory in this match-up. Teams with 13 regular season games had their score extrapolated to reflect a 14-game schedule.

The goal with this approach is to account for the imbalanced schedules when determining playoff seeds.
