North Park, at 3,010 acres, is pretty large. If you follow generic directions to North Park, you may end up miles from the fields you're supposed to be on! Make sure you know which fields you are on and use directions specific for those fields.
Field codes used in the schedules:
The McKinney Soccer complex, located in the far North West of North Park, is home to 3 sets of soccer fields. These field areas are: Yoest, Schwartz, and McKinney.
1) 279N to 79N - this is a great option for rushhour (instead of sitting on McKnight Road in rushhour you get to highway drive. It is longer mileage wise but you're not on McKnight Road!) From the East End, take Baum Blvd. to Bigelow to 579N Veteran's Bridge to 279N. 279 turns into 79N, get off of 79 at the Wexford exit Route 910. Turn right on 910 East. Drive for around 2.3 miles, until you come to a stop sign. The Wexford Post Office Deli will be on your right. Turn right onto Church Street. Then turn right onto Route 19 South. At the 2nd light turn left onto Brown Road (there will be an Enterprise Rent a Car and CVS on the corner). Take Brown Road until it ends in a T and turn right onto McKinney Road. A tenth of a mile down the road are the fields on the right.
2) McKnight Road - From the East End, again take Baum to Bigelow to 579 to 279N over the Veteran's Bridge. Take the McKnight Road exit and head North. Pass Ross Park Mall, pass McIntyre Square and keep going. You will eventually see a shopping center on your left with a Giant Eagle and Target in it. Keep going. You will pass North Allegheny HS on your left and a bunch of car dealerships. Keep going, pass the Wexford Plaza shopping center on your right and look for the CVS/Enterprise Rent A Car intersection on your right. Turn right at that light onto Brown Road. Take Brown Road until it ends in a T and turn right onto McKinney Road. A tenth of a mile down the road are the fields on the right. Taking McKnight Road home after games is a better bet than going the highway route, traffic isn't nearly as bad and it is the opposite direction.
Additional note as clarification to the above and another option (also from Anne):
To get to 579N from Bigelow, take the right exit off of Bigelow (by the USX building) , get in the far left lane and loop around so you're now facing Mellon Arena. There you will see signs to 579N - Veteran's Bridge. God forbid Bigelow actually be connected to 579N, but that is how you do it, I've done it a million times. In my opinion it is better than getting on 28 or taking the 16th Street Bridge.
You can probably shave a few more minutes off of the McKnight Road time by making this change in how you go: When you see the shopping center with Target and Giant Eagle on your left, go to the end of the shopping center (the Target end) and turn right on Pine Creek Road at the light. Stay to the right (it sort of switchbacks) and this becomes Rinaman Road. Take Rineaman until it ends in a T with Grubbs Road and turn left on Grubbs. Go about a mile, Grubbs ends in a T and turn left on McKinney Road. Go about another mile, watch for deer here, and see the fields on your left. This cuts off about 4 or 5 lights on McKnight Road, I just gave those other directions because they are less tricky.
An "address" that looks to be right at the entrance of the fields is: 203 Mckinney Rd., Wexford, PA 15090-8534

The Yoest fields are the Southern-most fields in the complex. After entering the complex, you turn left on an access road, drive by Schwartz 1 (up a small hill on your right) and enter the parking lot. The Yoest fields are then directly in front of you. At 110 yards deep and 130 yards wide, this field area can easily be made into three (slightly short) ultimate fields (one end zone of each field being adjacent to the parking lot). Field numberings (Yoest 1-3) are left to right when looking from the parking lot (the two signs for Yoest 1 and Yoest 2 are for the soccer fields).
The Schwartz Fields are the western and central fields. After ascending the hill into the field complex, continue straight into the parking lot. The fields are on the left with Schwartz 1, facing North-South, being immediately adjacent to the parking lot (across from the McKinney fields) and Schwartz 2 (East-West) perpendicular to it (on your right when looking from that northern parking lot). Each of these field areas are approximately 60x110 yards.
The McKinney fields are the northern most field area in the complex. They are on the right side after ascending the hill once in the field complex. The total field area is approximately 90x110 yards.
