Directions to Bird Park -
From 279/Ft. Pitt Bridge:
Follow the Fort Pitt Bridge outbound and take the exit towards Mt.
Lebanon/Route 19 South. Taking this exit will put you on to Rt. 19
South (Banksville Rd.). Follow Banksville until you reach a fork (about
1/4 mile after the Dairy Queen...appx 7-8 mins). Take the right at the
fork and follow that road until you reach a T in the road, which will be
the intersection of Cochran Rd. Take a Left at this interesction.
After this, follow Cochran Road to the intersection of Washington Rd.
Take a right at this intersection (which will be at the top of the
second hill that you drive up on Cochran). Continue at the (*) in the
next set of directions.
From Pittsburgh/Liberty Bridge:
Take the Liberty Bridge and get on to Route 19 (truck) going South. You
will continue on 19 truck south (West Liberty Avenue), and later on,
this will become Rt 19 south (Washington Rd). *Continue to follow this
road until on your right you see the First Church of Christian Science.
When you see this, the next right will be Beadling Rd. Take that right,
and then follow Beadling appx 1/4 mile until you see a gravel parking
lot on your right. Park here, and walk down the pathway around the
middle of the lot to get to the fields.
